Man City-Chelsea vying for 'Bavaria's supernova'

Manchester City are competing with Chelsea to bring in Bayern Munich's Supernova Jamal Mussiala.

"Manchester City is making a big plan to recruit Mussiala from Munich this summer. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants more options for attacking midfielders, and Mussiala is emerging as the top recruitment target."

Mussiala is a player who is now and called the future of Munich. He transferred from Chelsea to Munich Youth Team in July 2019. After signing a professional contract with Munich in July 2020, Mussiala gradually began to receive opportunities for the first team. He had seven goals and one assist in 37 official matches in the 2020/21 season, and eight goals and six assists in 40 matches in the 2021/22 season.

Mussiala was in full bloom last season. He reigned as Munich's ace with 16 goals and 16 assists in 47 matches during the 2022/23 season. In the Bundesliga, he scored 12 goals and 13 assists in 33 matches, achieving "10 goals-10 help" in the league for the first time since his debut. Mussiala also contributed to Munich's come-from-behind victory by scoring the finisher in the final league match against Cologne.

Mussiala is expanding his presence in the German national team as well. He made his debut for the German national team in 2021, and participated in the FIFA Qatar World Cup in 2022. Mussiala is always on the national team's roster for Germany's A-match schedule.

Mussiala has 12 goals and 7 assists in 36 matches this season. Big clubs are attracted to the fact that he can play not only attacking midfielder but also flanker. The clubs that Mussiala is aiming for are Manchester City and Chelsea. According to the Guardian, Manchester City is showing interest and Chelsea is also keeping an eye on Mussiala's situation.  안전놀이터
