Penn National Gaming Opens Hollywood Casino York In August

Penn National Gaming announced today that it will open its Hollywood Casino York to the public on Thursday, August 12, and is awaiting final customary regulatory approval.

Located at the York Galleria Mall in Springketsbury Township, Category 4 Casino represents Penn National's third installation in Pennsylvania and joins the Penn National Racecourse in Grantville and the Hollywood Casino at Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington. The fourth accommodation, Hollywood Casino Morganstown, will open later this year.

The roughly 80,000-square-foot facility has about 500 slot machines and 24 table games, and can accommodate up to 750 slot machines and 40 table games. Hollywood Casino York will also offer Barstool sportsbooks and racebooks, Diner and Drinks, casual restaurants and bars, and classic grill takeout restaurants.

Prior to the grand opening, Penn National will hold two invitation-only test days, with proceeds from the game going to charities in the area including York County Veterans Outreach, York County Food Bank, Mr Sandy Veterans Helping Hand, local VFW and the American Legion Post.
